To facilitate RF circuits analysis s-parameters of multi-port networks can be easily incorporated into the circuit description.
S-parameters are mostly obtained by measurements performed by VNA – Vector Network Analyzer.
The purpose of ‘AMP’ development was to combine easiness of calculations using Y-matrix techniques with accuracy of RF modeling provided by s-parameters.
